My Summer with Milo Sports Clinic: Swimming Class

Every year at the start of school break, my mom starts to think of worthwhile activities that my sister and I can do for the summer. Last year, I attended a voice class and I sang on stage as my proud parents watched during the recital.

This year, I think my mom wants me to be interested in sports and at the same time learn a lifesaving skill. So we signed up for the Milo swimming class and it was a good thing that the venue is very near our house. It was a 10-day class and each session lasts for an hour. The fee is Php3,500.

Each student is required to don proper swimwear and bring a kickboard. Girls are also asked to use a swimming cap but our coach is not that strict about this. Girls with no swim caps just need to tie their hair.

I was really scared at first to try swimming but our coach was very encouraging. It was also fun to learn with my classmates that after a few sessions, I was surprised and delighted to realized that I can already swim.

There were only six of us in the class but our ages vary so the coach would sometimes give more advanced lessons to older students. I really enjoyed my swimming class and I will surely be signing up again next year!
